I found value in the very thick magazine it comes with. One of my fave articles was about YMO, a pull-out spread showing studio mix notes (24 track tapes, what's per track and such) and every little detail about the 1980 Budokan concert, from microphone placements, sound filtering i/o, synthesizer routing, sequencing and effects, monitors, everything.
ReplyDeleteHell, even if you don't know any Japanese you might want to learn some once you take a look at it, the other articles are amazing too. There's even a synthesizer timeline starting at 1920 in it.
