via swissdoc: "I came across this strange device called Pacific Fast Mail Sound System II, which is based around endless tapes and is intended to emulate the sounds of railroads.

Here is the old catalog from 1970 assuming they had one released per year...

Looks like they had a full analog synthesis engine in place before (no
tapes then)
