"The Logan String Melody was a portable keyboard produced in two versions from 1973 to 1982. Within Italy it was sold under the Logan brand, and outside Italy it was distributed by Horner.
The first version had many variations. The second, called the String Melody II, was the final version, produced from 1977 to 1980.

It came in a heavy wooden case and weighed 23 kilograms. It has full polyphony with a variable-gain amplifier for each key and a Jarred-like chorus.
The keyboard consists of four octaves split into two nearly equal sized ranges. In each of these ranges a combination of three string sounds can be mixed. Each string sound is a copy of the other but one octave higher in pitch. Each half contains a 3-octave mixer and a sustain fader; on the lower half two monophonic bass sounds can be added."
