"I guess it was only a matter of time before someone (in this case, Robbie MacDonald) translated Don Buchla's elegantly screwy electrical ode to unpredictability to the Eurorack format. Its design is very similar to Buchla's, but of course eighth inch cable inputs/outputs are featured throughout (no bananas). The original design divided functions into four discrete noise and S/H sections, while Sputnik furthers this idea with two additions, 'Integrator' and dedicated 'Sample and Hold'."
This looks like a straight up clone of the Buchla 266. I don't think that this goes any further than that.
ReplyDeleteAnd isn't 80% of Euro modules Buchla knock offs anyway? When you have no electronics skill or vision, just rip others off, it's that easy!
