Published on Aug 11, 2014 Doug Lynner
"Improvised electronic music and Beat Poetry with Hollow Log by Doug Lynner, ruth weiss and Hal Davis. 7/30/14 on the Poetry Freqs night of the 13th Annual Outsound New Music Summit. Doug performs on Serge and Cynthia modular synthesizers. A solo synth sections happens about 2/3rds of the way through. Enjoy ruth, she is one of the only remaining links to the Beat days and is the real deal!

"A couple of weeks ago I was talking up this unusual concert I was going to be doing with surviving Beat Poet, Rruth weiss, and her partner Hal Davis on Hollow Log. We came to this fresh having only met for a 1/2 hour some months before to see if we were interested in performing together. We had no rehearsal. I didn't know what poems would be performed until an hour before stage time. I think it came out so very well. What do you think about this first time meeting of Beat Poetry and analog modular electronic music (Serge and Cynthia systems)?"
