Jan Östman wrote in to let us know the dsp-G1 is now available as a kit.
"The dsp-G1 44.1KHz 16-bit Analog Modeling Synth
This spring I ran a successful crowdfunding campaign designing a DSP synth.
Now a kit for building it can be had for $30 including a preprogrammed chip and the supporting components.
The kit makes a complete dsp-G1 MIDI synth powered by the MIDI-plug.
It's easy enough for anyone to assemble.
The chip reads TTL level serial MIDI data and outputs sound through a 44.1KHz Delta-Sigma DAC.
The synth is a 15-DCO structured as 5-note paraphonic with a 24db lowpass filter with resonance.
It also has AMP ENV, filter ENV and LFO with sine or sample&hold waveform.
If you want to use it with for example Arduino, it can be connected to the ATmega TX port and controlled through a sketch."
