"The Prophet-5 is an analog synthesizer that was designed and manufactured by Sequential Circuits between 1978 and 1984. With five voices of polyphony, the Prophet-5 is one of the first polyphonic analog synthesizers with patch memory. About 6,000 units were produced in three revisions by Dave Smith and John Bowen. The Prophet-5 is known for its use by progressive rock bands and film composers.
This unit is a Rev 3.3 with 120 programs, still housed in it’s original box. This one is exceptionally clean and in very good working condition. This piece has been serviced and tested, but the new owner may benefit from a more comprehensive inspection. This Prophet-5 is 110/220 VAC voltage selectable and comes with a Hosa FSC-502 foot-pedal.
