The sound engine is essentially identical to the TQ5 Synth Module minus the sequencer, and the next generation from the rack-mounted 4-Op TX81Z.
Because of this synth's unusual styling, it has become very collectible apart from its ability to create just about classic 80s FM sound you'll ever need. Especially those icy DX Strings and that DEEP, snappy LATELY BASS."
