"The Roland JD-800's front panel is like the dashboard of a 747 Jet! Look at all those sliders, just begging to be tweaked! This synthesizer is still the pride and joy of many studios and Film composers, due to the depth of programming possible to each of the 4 layer tones per patch...You've got a slew of waves to choose from, Dual LFO's with multiple wave shapes, offsets, fade-in, delay, etc., Multi-mode filters, (Band-pass, Low-pass, High-pass) 7(!!) stage envelopes each for Pitch/Filter/Amplitude. In Multi-timbre mode, go ahead and times all that by 6! Sounds from this bad-boy are Fat, rich, complex and evolving. Add to this, that the built-in waves and patches are expandable, via PCM and DATA cards and you really are only limited by your imagination! Please, check out the online reviews and videos, to get a better idea of the nitty-gritty specs and what you could do with this monster synth.This synthesizer has been reset to factory defaults. Everything; all switches, sliders, pitch/mod lever, after-touch, velocity, outputs, Midi IN/OUT/THRU, Card expansion slots and power supply performs exactly as they should. The display contrast and brightness are perfect. All key-bed issues; red glue, weights, springs, contact strips and ribbon cable connection, have been fixed to where there should be no issues for years to come."
