"A special version of the Rave-O-Lution 309 with a black finish, special patterns, and two sound expansion boards (Drum X & Synth X)A lot of the internal patterns sound like direct excerpts from Klaus Schulze's techno albums.
The 309 is pretty much a Roland TR808/909 drum machine with a TB303 built in. It has a sequencer, dozens of drum, percussion and synth sounds to choose from, four audio outputs, two audio input, built-in effects and MIDI.
The bass drum, snare and hi-hat sounds can be chosen from a whole bank of samples and have pitch and decay knobs to help find that perfect tone.
There's a 12-note polyphonic bank of percussion sounds which include a lot of synth and string hits.
The mono lead/bass synth has a variable lowpass filter with resonance so you can tweak to your hearts content.
Effects wise, there's the "Overblast" overdrive knob as well as delay, flanger, reverb and more!"
