Pics of the inside below.

These are basically identical to the Boss DR-55, although the SR-88 lets you program the HiHat pattern without any modifications.
You can program A & B patterns for up to 6 sixteen beat rhythms and 2 twelve beat rhythms as well as programmable fill ins. You need the AA batteries installed to retain your programmed beats.
The original switches that came with these... well... sucked. So I have replaced them with new Cherry MX key switches mounted on custom made pcb adapters. So programming the unit is now easy and fun!
Pots and slide switches were all cleaned.
All the electrolytic capacitors have been replaced as well.
In addition, all Logic and Memory ICs have been socketed for easy future servicing.
I'm including a 6V center negative AC/DC adapter and I'll include the 4 (almost new)AA batteries as well. (Both the batteries and the adapter need to be used simultaneously for proper operation)
It has a clock output which I believe is 1 PPQN, so if you have a clock multiplier in your modular rig you could potentially integrate this. Also there is a trigger output from the Cymbal sound which subtracts that sound from the main output when a cable is inserted in the 'SQ' jack."
