"Up for sale is a very rare Pollard Syndrum Quad w/ Original Pedal and Drum Pads. The Synthesizer and pads both work great. All channels are working great except the "Snare 1" setting on each channel is inaudible. The "Snare 1" is supposed to be a quieter, shorter snare than "Snare 2." "Snare 2" works great on each channel and is controlled by the sustain slider underneath of it. The Quad is also in great cosmetic condition, with only minor paint chips here and there. See pics for details. The slider caps have all been replaced with Arp-style rubber ones. (the original slider caps fell off a long time ago.) Included in this auction is:

If you've found this, you know what this is and the unique sounds it makes that you can't find anywhere else. The Quad was the most famous of the Syndrums models."

"This is the one-of-a-kind Syndrum Quad, the hard-to-find first electronic drum made famous by the likes of David Robinson of The Cars, Terry Bozzio, Roger Taylor of Queen and many others. If you've found this, you know what this is and the unique sounds it makes that you can't find anywhere else. The Quad was the most famous of the Syndrums models... Because the pads use a typical 1/4-inch plug, you could use different pads if you choose, such as Roland PD-8s. This rig also includes the Pollard Foot Pedal."

The Quad was the most famous of the Syndrums models.

This piece of electronic drum history has recently been tested and works perfectly. As you'll see from the photos, the pads show foam on them from being in storage the last 20 years. I chose not to clean them up after testing the rig, I will leave that to the new owner. Some of the sliders are missing their caps, but this doesn't affect their function. Because the pads use a typical 1/4-inch plug, you could use different pads if you choose, such as Roland PD-8s.

This rig also includes the Pollard Foot Pedal."

"DIY synth AMS-16 and drums ADS-8 presents www.enmusic.by.ru"

YouTube via enginmusic. Sent my way via frederic.

Update: I sent an email to AH asking if anyone had more info on these. The following are the replies:
Florian

"The Drumsynth reminds to a tama TS305/306 series.
The Monosynth is according to a link in the kyrillian text an adaption of Ray Wilsons Soundlab Minisynth and the sequencer is derived from Thorsten Kloses software projects."

Synth Ollie:
"the drumsynth is based om some old e&mm diy-syndrum articles, synbal and syntom II"
