"AM8109 JP8 VCF Summary
This module is replication of the Low Pass Filter from the legendary Roland Jupiter 8 and 4.
This is a 2 and 4 pole OTA design that Roland first used in the Jupiter 4 in 1980, replacing a discrete version of the filter which took up more PCB space.
This is a warm sounding filter with smooth frequency control and a resonance that gradually increases up to full self oscillation, a sound very reminiscent of the early 1980's. The difference between 2 and 4-pole modes is not dramatic, with the 2-pole mode providing a more gradual cutoff slope and silky sound.

Detailed Description
This module is an accurate reprodution of the Jupiter 8 low pass voltage controlled filter, using the original IR3109 OTA chip in the filter core. The design has been updated to use modern components (such as OTA capacitors and high quality Op Amps). It delivers a very warm and smooth sound.
There are front panel controls for adjusting the Cutoff Frequency and Resonance as well as the level of 2x control voltages and 3x audio signal inputs. Resonance is smooth and controllableto self-oscillation.
There are six 3.5mm jack sockets on the right of the front panel;
•Audio Signal output
•2x control voltages
•3x audio inputs.
The slope of the filter can be switched between 2 and 4 poles using a small red push button, and a red LED with lens shows the filter slope selected."

"The Filtare SEIII is a multimode, state-variable voltage-controlled filter that gives you low-pass, band-pass and high-pass outputs which are all simultaneously available. It also includes a notch output which allows you to change the balance between low-pass and high-pass. The SEIII uses discrete components but is based on SSM2040 architechture, giving you a very musical sounding filter. There are CV inputs for frequency, resonance and notch balance. The 1 V/O CV input for frequency can be used to have the VCF follow what you're playing on the keyboard or just crank up the resonance and use it to play sine-waves."

"The DRM1 MKIII is an analogue drum synthesizer.

It offers eight instruments, each with seven knobs for forming the sound plus a panorama- and a volume-controller. The user interface is absolutely clear and intutitve - one knob, one function.

The instruments on the DRM1 MKII are as following:

KICK : Mainly but not only for making big and fat kick drums.
DRUM1/DRUM2 : Very flexible instruments that can generate kick- and tom sounds a s well as bongos. Anything from zapp to bling and fantastic PIUU...
MULTI : Three oscillators can be detuned and gives you nice cowbell-like sounds. If you like submarines you can create a nice sonar ping.
SNARE : What can we say about that? Well, you get what you expect.
Hi Hat1 and Hi Hat2 : That's analogue (heavy- or soft-) metal.
CLAP : Classic analogue hand claps.
The instruments of the DRM1 MKIII can be triggered by MIDI (of course velocity-sensitive). There is also an optional trigger option avilable that connects the drum machine to your analogue step sequencer or whatever gives out gate voltage or switch trigger. Beside the main outputs each channel is equipped with an individual output that also can be used as an channel insert."

The Concept

PERfourMER MKII combines four discrete built monophonic analogue synthesizers into a single rack-mountable, desktop unit. What sounds simple will surprise you with its large sound variety. The individual synthesizer channels can be coupled in different ways and be played monophonically and polyphonically. At the same time, the synthesizer channels can interact by using oscillator synchronization or frequency modulation.

The Synthesizer Channel

All four synthesizer channels are based upon the classic structure of VCO, VCF and VCA. The oscillator offers sine, triangle, square and saw tooth waveforms or a noise generator. In addition, the square waveforms’ pulse width can be modulated using a LFO or MIDI control data.

The following resonant low-pass-filter offers a steepness of 24 dB per octave and is being followed be the voltage controlled amplifier (VCA).

A flexible LFO and an ADSR envelope generator allow for modulations of the oscillator's pitch as well as the filter's cutoff frequency.

"True greatness comes from within! The Mono Lancet is a compact synthesizer with a big sound, with an uncomplicated user interface and lots of charm.

Oscillators

Two analogue oscillators ensure a solid sound foundation. Oscillator one creates triangle-, sawtooth- and square waves and can be set one octave lower than the second oscillator. The latter produces white noise instead of the triangle wave. The pulse width can be modulated via the modulation wheel (MIDI) and/or an external control voltage source (see “Extension”). The glide generator has a legato mode or (alternatively) can remain permanently active.

Filter

The voltage controlled lowpass filter has a slope of 24db per octave. On high resonance settings it self-oscillates, producing a stable sine wave that can be played in a range of about 2 ½ octaves. Using MIDI the cutoff frequency can be controlled by velocity and/or aftertouch.

Amplifier

There’s a strong VCA inside the Mono Lancet that can be modulated by the ADSR or a fixed organ-like envelope. On demand it can additionally respond to velocity.

Modulation

The classical ADSR envelope generator can modulate the VCO- and VCF frequency and the VCA. The LFO offers rectangle and triangle as well as sample & hold and is a modulation source for VCF and VCO.

Extension

There’s a 25pin sub-D connector on the rear of the Mono Lancet. The optional “Mono Lancet Modular Dock” widens the potential of the synthesizer enormously through numerous in- and outputs for control voltages and audio signals. PWM and filter inputs are just two of these."

"The Kick Lancet is a handy analogue percussion synthesizer with priority to kick-drum sounds – you might have expected this.

Sound Generation

The heart of the Kick Lancet’s sound structure is an analogue oscillator that produces sine- and square waves, which can be blend seamless from one to the other. Two independent envelope generators with a decay/release phase can modulate the oscillator’s frequency and the VCA. Additionally the VCO pitch can be modulated by the fast LFO (3Hz to 3kHz, triangle). Noise and a pulse signal can be added in the MIXER section. And we have a BALLS controller for making it really big.

Trigger

The Kick Lancet can be triggered by MIDI but beside that there are three different trigger inputs:

GATE: A gate impulse can trigger the Kick Lancet in normal way, with additional accent or completely dynamical depending on the incoming voltage.
SWITCH: Simply short current trigger (i.e. momentary foot switch).
AUDIO: Offers the possibility to trigger the Kick Lancet by an audio signal – static or dynamically. Also drum pads can be connected here."

"qMI is a quad MIDI-to-CV converter-module suitable for modular synthesizer systems in eurorack format. qMI is based upon the voice allocating unit of VERMONA's PERfourMER MKII and supports monophonic as well as polyphonic playing.

Each of unit's four output channels offers output for Key-CV (1v/oct.), gate as well as two additional CV-outputs to redirect MIDI-controllers like modulation wheel or pitch bend. The output channels can be freely combined or used independently with individual MIDI-channels. Combined output channels can be played in unison, monophonically with rotating voice allocation or polyphonically.

qMI offers four clock-divider-outputs, which convert incoming MIDI-clock to analogue gate-voltages. A reset-output allows MIDI-start/stop-commands to be converted to control components of your modular synthesizer system, e.g. a step-sequencer and keep it synchronized this way.

Simple handling and immediate access to all parameters is an important part of qMI's concept. Therefore, qMI allows a straightforward combination of your modular synthesizer and MIDI-system."
