Klavis TWO BITS / logic and more / extensive playthrough

video upload by BRiES

"TWO BITS is a versatile logic dual module, combining several well known boolean logic functions with a few more complex ones like set/reset behaviour and more (comparator, clockdivider, pulse delay, ...). In this video I demonstrate what every function does, how to combine the top and bottom sections, as well as showing the general workflow of the module and how to control parameters with CV."

BLOOM / Klavis TWO BITS / Metabolic Devices MOONWALKER / Jolin AGOGO / eurorack jam

video upload by BRiES

"I'm really loving the sound of the LPGs in Agogo. It gives the sound some bite without being full on saturated. Even with tame sounds it can really bring some life to the timbre...

Two Bits is used to add triggers (OR) together for the kicks and snare. I used a steady pattern for both of them, and then added a probability gate to the second intputs. Very convenient for adding variation to drums without too much programming.

Moonwalker is doing the 'sync' lead type sound (the module is off screen but you can see its output on the scope. I'm also still trying to find a reverb setting that I really like. This one is... almost there."

Logic for Sound Design

video upload by Martin Doudoroff

"Logic modules aren’t just for making rhythms: here we show some simple ways that logic can contribute to sound design.

Featured logic module: Klavis Two Bits

Patch diagram design borrowed from Monotrail Tech Talk [posts here]

0:00 Introduction
1:33 Overview of Two Bits and base voice patch
3:34 Example: Events during note release
6:47 Example: Probability-based events per note
11:37 Example: Events at note start and/or end

Dual logic processor with chaining and CV functions
Two dual-input logic processors
15 different functions
Simultaneously available normal and inverted outputs
LEDs on all outputs
Chaining optionally inverted by dedicated button with LEDs
Chaining does not waste any input or output; an additional virtual input is created in the second section
Functions with duration, voltage, percentage, and ratio are user editable.
User settings are stored automatically
Random pass, voltage comparator, clock mult/div and delay line functions allow CV control
White LEDs next to the pots confirm the matching of knob position and function
The outputs can be Ored by simple shorting in a multiple
Firmware upgradeable by playing an audio file
Low consumption, skiff-friendly & compact module
Complements Klavis’ Logica XT with a varied feature set

Superbooth 22: Klavis - Grainity, Tweakers And Two Bits

video upload by sonicstate

"Eric at Klavis gave us a brief look at Tweakers, a modulation module, and Two Bits a dual logic module, but saved the new unit until last.

Grainity is a granular VCF, which is completely analogue, but slices and reassembles filtered elements according to the incoming audio. There are 13 filter modes which can track and repeatedly divide down the cycle of the incoming signal down until it sounds more like a sequence than grains of audio. It produces unusual, harmonic and non-harmonic effects and is a pretty unique concept.

Grainity is available soon. Price TBC, around 300 euros"

See the Klavis label below for more.

"Klavis make a range of modules ranging from oscillators to logic and switcching.

New for 2021 are the Tweakers - a dual channel analog module with Input, Gain Offset and polarity and mute. Also new is the Two Bits dual Logic Module which allows for 15 different logic processing functions."
