Tenorance on Tenori-On and Motif ES Rack

YouTube via Tonneman
"This song has been created by me using the Yamaha Tenori-On. I used the Tenori to create the layers (patterns) using score mode and random mode. A total of 8 different layers have been created. Once the layers were created, I used the Tenori to control the Yamaha Motif ES Rack to produce the sounds (8 parts). Obviously, the Motif ES Rack can produce much better sounds than the Tenori's internal sound processor.

Have fun!"

Love Confession on Yamaha Electone EL90

YouTube via Tonneman

"Me playing "Love Confession" on the Yamaha Electone EL90. In 1986 (if I remember correctly) I reached second place in the finals of the national Yamaha Electone contests. That time, I performed this song on the Yamaha FX-20.

"Love Confession" has been composed by Ruud Jansen, who was my organteacher and coach back then. As far as I know, Ruud originally played this composition years begore I did (seventies?) and became nr 1 of the European Yamaha contest.

To play this piece on the EL90, I made the arrangements (registrations), rithm patterns and rithm sequences myself. I kept in mind the original arrangements and character of the song as I performed it back then on the FX-20.

Enjoy!"

The Model - Kraftwerk (cover)

YouTube via Tonneman
"The Model, originally by Kraftwerk performed by me on the Roland Fantom X7 and Novation A-Station (vocoder).

I've tried to be faithful to the original track, but obviously, I played around with the sound, effects and arragnement.

Recorded (and sampled) only with the Roland Fantom X7. I used the A-station for the vocoder effect."

Ding-a-Dong on Yamaha Electone HX-3

YouTube via Tonneman.
"The original song 'Ding-a-Dong' was performed by the Dutch group 'Teach-in' on the Eurovision song contest in 1975, which they won.

In this video I play the song on a Yamaha organ, the Electone HX-3. This instrument was first released in 1987 and mainly uses FM-voices (some AWM voices).

All you hear is played in one take on the HX-3. No other instruments or equipment are involved. Drums are programmed in the HX-3's internal sequencer."
