Unboxing SEM Pro by Tom Oberheim

Published on Feb 19, 2017 martinjazz78

"Unboxing my new semi-modular synth. This time it's SEM Pro by Tom Oberheim. Beautiful piece of gear.

The sequence is SEM Pro CV controlled by Oberkorn sequencer from Analogue Solutions. Low tones are VCO 1, high tones are VCO 2. Sound is further processed through the vintage tape Roland Space echo for delay and Strymon Big Sky for reverb. Audio is stereo output from the Motu interface into Ableton Live.

Camera is Go Pro Hero 4 Black, edited in Final Cut Pro."

Telemark Keyboard and Tom Oberheim's SEM Pro sequenced by Oberkorn

Note this one appears to be the recording for the audio used in the unboxing video above.

"Short moment from my longer dawless synth jam. As a matter of fact this was my first night with SEM Pro and Oberkorn. This sequencer by Analogue Solutions controls VCO1, VCO2 and VCF on Oberheim that controls Telemark-K also via CV and patch cables. Both synths are processed through Moogerfoogers MuRF and Ring Modulator as well as through the vintage tape Roland Space Echo for delay and Strymon Big Sky for reverb. Some tweaking on the fly.

Audio is stereo output from Motu interface recorded into Ableton Live. Camera is GoPro Hero 4 Black stripped to my chest. Edited in Final Cut Pro."

New Mini D - Honey Patch #1 with Oberheim SEM Pro, Telemark-K and Oberkorn sequencer

Published on Feb 23, 2017

"Excerpt from my recent dawless synth jam. I started with Tom Oberheim's SEM Pro, Telemark-K and Oberkorn sequencer. When I was happy with the sequence I just had to add Minimoog D. Its pure analogue warmth then completely changed the atmosphere of the jam. Both Oberheim's as well as Telemark's Oberheim type filters are very sneaky and work as great antipodes to the Moog's honey like VCF.

Regarding the sequence CV1 from Oberkorn goes to OSC1 on SEM Pro, CV2 to OSC2 and CV3 to VCF cutoff. SEM Pro then controls Telemark via cv and at the same time triangle wave LFO from Telemark goes back to control the LFO rate on SEM Pro.

All synths are processed through the vintage tape Roland Space Echo for delay and Strymon Big Sky for reverb. Audio is stereo output from my Motu interface into Ableton Live. Camera was GoPro Hero 4 Black, video was edited in Final Cut Pro.

Enjoy :)"
