  5. Yeh that price is absurd. So he'll sell a few and make some cash, as opposed to lowering the price considerably and making alot more money. I mean not even the Arturia, Gforce plugins that emulate old machine are this much money

  7. I know, it's expensive. But if it's a not real exactly a real Ems that says der moogulator (sorry for my bad english) it has many similitudes. This sound is great. I work with Moog Modular VS d'Arturia and Ems Avs and I'm very satisfied. How much now the hardware synths ? 5000 euros !!!

  8. There are plenty of free virtual synthis and VCS3s out there that work just as well some even have nicer GUI's .... just do a google search on... synthi emulation or synthi virtual, and you will find at least 2 or 3 for both Mac and PC

  9. Hey complainers, think about how many thieves don't pay a cent for the software they use on a regular basis. It's a high percentage of users. How's a software developer to make a living off that? Some of you are working musicians, you should know how that works. If more people paid for the software they use, the prices would be cheaper.

  10. I agree completely. I buy my software because that seems important to me. Can I recall that Yamaha SY99 was worth 4600 $ in 1995 and that one economize, that one made a loan to buy it.
How much a beautiful Gibson Les Paul Guitare ?
Compared to the synths hardware, the price is terribly low. But PS, when I pay 350 euros for EMS AVS, it is to have a sound quality that I do not have with freeware. Even thing for Moog Modular V2, that have the good sound.
I am ready to make the comparisons of quality between Ems Avs and the freewares which I know and who do not agree to me at all.

  11. Hi, I think the earlier comment made about free emulations of the AKS or VCS3 was misinterpreted. I don't think the poster meant pirated copies, he probably meant the free one from Richard Brooks, or the SIAC one free to registered users of Reaktor 5. I beleive Steve Howells of Hollow Sun spoke to Robin Wood, the owner of EMS (the UK original company) about doing an pay for emulation but nothing really came of it, so Steve released yet another free version. There is also a pay for one for about $15 from EFM(?) who then gave it away free. My understanding is that this version is synthedit so it does appear to be a little overpriced compared with products from Arturia, GForce or Way Out Ware.
