That's a Synthi 100 to the left. Check out the colored knobs in the reflection.

Hello Matrixsynth,
ReplyDeleteHello I hope that there will be an Ems synthi 100 one day virtuel.
I have just put on line of short excerpts of the Corticalart of Pierre Henry.
Cheers

I wonder about the history of the big Buchla box in the photo. The module selection in it looks terrible, almost like it's just for show - it's as though someone took all the good stuff out and replaced it with crap! 4 oscillators? You gotta be kidding me. Anyone know the history here?
ReplyDeletethe cabinet is from an early 200, the modules are CBS series 100.
ReplyDeletethe system belonged to a musician who had a mix of 100 and 200 series it was purchased by a collector before it found its way to cantos, some modules were taken for other systems and this is the stuff that was left.
not at all an interesting array of modules but it is still a buchla.
Kewl! Thanks for the brief history. Does anyone know more info on this system, like how it found it's way to to Cantos, what modules were in it originally, and where they are now? I find this stuff fascinating.
ReplyDeleteI live only a mile or two away from the Cantos collection. It's a stunning collection of gear, and some of it has quite a history. They offer tours and it's definitely a music geek's paradise.
