Update: Yep, I'm a synth geek; I actually found this video disturbing.
Reminds me of NIN trashing a synth in every show. Evil bastards.

I thought it was established that this video was a "viral marketing" publicity stunt.

Interesting point ortho. That would have been a pretty funny backfire if this video indeed was supposed to be a viral campaign by Open Labs.

ReplyDeletebut the way i feel & understand music, i think it fuckin sucks to destroy that neko. besides the pollution caused in manufacturing something like the neko, its a complete waste of a musical instrument .... .. he could have rafffled it off on his website or something, given it to some randomer as they left the show...
anything but destroying it, thats a f-ing cliche at this stage and a waste of a musical instrument, richard devine = over priviledged, probably was before he made it too.
i've thought about this before, thought about what I'd do - i'd rather end the show giving our instruments away, rather then destroying them. anything but destroying them..
And I'll be performing in the same venue as this guy in ten days. Must remember to hide my synths when I'm not with them... :)
