  1. What's these new "technorati" links at the bottom of each post? I'm not sure if I like it there in each post. Maybe stick it on the side of your blog somewhere? What is Technorati?

  2. Let's all create patches for Matrix. Then we should all assemble a patch library. For 'ease' of recall, let's name them "Matrix 1', 'Matrix 2', 'Matrix 3', etc... All even numbers will be leads, odd numbers bass, but any number ending in 0 a drum, but any prime number a special effect.

    How's that sound?

  3. I mean, let's assemble a sample library (vs. patch library). My blood sugar is low.

  4. Yeah, that technocrati nonsense seems like tag spam. You know, like "korg", "moog", "alesis" etc. either apply or they don't.

  5. Here's one from me. I can see this getting out of hand quick :)

  6. Yeah, it's tag spam. I think I'm going to pull it. I did it for two reasons. One my Google ads went to shit. They said it's because I don't put enough words in the contents of my posts for Google to pick up and post appropriate ads. Google searches the words on my posts and puts up ads based on that. So if I put words like "synthesizer" or "moog" you will get ads for "synthesiser" and "moog." The stupid thing is this site is only about synthesisers and if I put up a shot of a "moog" its pretty obvious, so putting that in the comments is kind of lame. But if I don't you end up with public service ads and other crap. So I figured if I put the technorati tags, google would pick up the tags and post appropriate ads.

Technorati is a blog search engine. I did a few searches on it for synth and matrixsynth and the only thing that came up were sequencer.de posts. So I thought, that's crap, why wouldn't my site come up first for matrixsynth queries. I did a little digging and apparently the way it works is you put tags on each post along terms you want your site to come up for if someone searches for those terms. So if someone on technorati searches for any of the terms listed in each post, the post will come up as a search result. I don't want to have to manually do this for every single post, so I put it in my template.

For now consider it an expirament. Just ingnore them. I'm seriously thinking of pulling them, as I admit they are kind of lame, but having other sites come up when you search for matrixsynth and stuff on my site is worse in my opinion. Let me know what you think.

Part of me doesn't care as I don't make much, but then part of me figures I spend all this time putting this stuff up, why not let the ads contribute.

What's funny is I totally thought ads were evil as well, until I set up this site.

What is it that makes you hate ads? Pop-ups are obvious so they are banned from this site. Ads in the body of the content are banned, and I try not to allow irrelevant ads on this site. Again, that's part of why I'm experimenting with Technorati and tags - to get the ads relevant again.

  7. Technorati tags gone. Fuck it. Let them find me. As for Google ads. Whatever... I don't make enough off of them, so let them do what they do.

To reduce spam, comments for posts older than one week are not displayed until approved, usually same day. Do not insult people. For items for sale, do not ask if it is still available. Check the auction link and search for the item. Auctions are from various sellers and expire over time. Posts remain for the pics and historical purposes. This site is meant to be a daily snapshot of some of what was out there in the world of synths.
