zero feedback seller, calling a minimoog an "organ", not being able to spell properly, yet knowing the ORIGINAL price is > $2500 even though they don't know what they are selling. Sounds pretty fishy to me.
ReplyDeleteFunny, in my case I got an "Organ in good shape (Keyboard)" via an auction, which indeed was a Roland Jupiter 4. I had to pay CHF 420, which is about USD 340, this was compared to the prepal.com price estimate of USD 456 and the rarity of these synths quite a deal ;-)
ReplyDeleteHere is some quick demo of the great filter and LFO of the Jupiter 4.

JP4 into HR-MP5 (preset 120 bpm delay) into Hi-MD recorder.
The Arp is set to random, the chorus is on, the amp is in overdrive. There is a touch of portamento active.
The filter env is set to all values=0 and drinving the filter by 25%. I decrease filter frequency, then increase resonance, then increase the HPF frequency.
At about 1:00 I start using the bender to modulate the VCF with the LFO, which is then set to different audio frequencies.
Georg.
As fake as it is, it's still way more real than the ... wait for it ... SMS 2000 :)
