We all know PrePal. Title link takes you to another price list. This one by the Synthesizer Service Center. The prices are in GBP, but you can easily convert them here.
Update: General consensus is that this is not a price list, but a list of what they have in stock. Dealer prices are usually higher so that's obviously something to consider.

This seems to be a pricelist of items in stock, whereas Prepal offers a pricelist based on ads others have published. I don't think the analogy is any good, but it is a cute site anyway so thanks for the link!
ReplyDeleteThere's a very large price difference between the European and American synth markets. You can expect to pay $300 more for the same synth in Europe.
ReplyDeleteI don't see the "$300 more" though as a generalization prices are usually substantially higher in Europe.
ReplyDeleteAs for a Prepal comparison, I agree that it has little to do since amongst other reasons, when a shop prices their stock they surely take condition of specific instruments into consideration too, so you can't even say it's their average price.
I sometimes see buying lists in Japan. It's sometimes interesting to see what synths dealers will pay top money for and which fairly nice synths they lowball. I didn't really analyse it, but one list I saw recently had the better and more popular Clavia units having pretty good buy prices used. Perhaps it's due to demand and high import costs of new units.
Thanks I went ahead and updated the post with this likely being a pricelist of items in stock. I forget where I found the link - probably one of the forums or lists, but it was refered to as a pricelist. Maybe they were mistaken as well.
