Opas alter Synthesizer
Hammond, Minimoog, and what looks like a drum machine. Anyone know what that is to the left of the mini? I've seen it before, but I can't remember. Title link takes you to the post on Synthesizer-Magazin.

I see a Rhythm Ace in there.
ReplyDeleteI believe that is L. Ron Hubbard of science fiction and Scientology fame. No, I'm not kidding.
ReplyDeletethat is so not L.Ron.
ReplyDeletei don't know who it is, but that rig wound up in the posession of a St Louis pipe organ builder/repairman/something, and they gave the "moog parts" to a local pipe enthusiast who built a new cabinet for it.
it's an RA Moog mini, and the organ is of course an Hammond X-66 with a pair of the special X-66 tone cabinets. the X-66 is the only top-octave divide-down _tonewheel_ organ: instead of a bank of solid state top octave oscillators, it had a tiny tiny tone generator.
i've been googling for an hour and i can't find the page of the guy who has that mini now. he's a pipe organ enthusiast in the st louis area who has a huge rant on his site about big box stores building bigger boxes and leaving vacant boxen in his town. that's all i can remember.
