Casio VZ-1 With Wood Ends

  1. Some synths just shouldn't have wooden side panels - unless, of course, they are REALLY HUGE! :-)

  2. Just an FYI, I bought this VZ-1 used and the plastic end caps were in pieces and dry cracked. I spent about a month fabricating these solid mahogany end caps and affixing them to the Casio aluminum chasis (like a rock). Still have to stain them, I think they are much better than the plastic pieces.

  3. i meant no offense by my comment - the end caps themselves look good - i just they are a bit big. It looks like they might get in the way of playing the top few notes.

  4. A bit big - like the side panels for a JP-4, yet squished. Maybe if they were stained a very dark colour?
