So does this mean they're going to design them? Manufacture them? Install them in aircraft?
ReplyDeleteGerman companies are so weird. Maybe that's why they make such cool synths!
Whats the hype about the boxes? I consider them a bit as ripoff, instead having a dsp+converters+switchable software, they sell the same product three times. Doesn't make much sense except to cash in.
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing they will be a more affordable option for people that want the sound but don't need the interface, but who knows. I don't know the pricing of these compared to the ASB boxes.
ReplyDeleteI agree with malte. These don't scream *value* to me at all.
ReplyDeleteThey learned from what Dave Smith is doing....
ReplyDeleteI am more convinced of what Dave Smith is doing, there is more in his boxes than just one DSP. Its said that the Klangboxes go for 444 euro while the ASBs are between 800-1000 euros. Whatever happend to their Noah which could exchange the software?
ReplyDeleteThe Noah didn´t sell well so they stopped the production.
ReplyDeleteI meant more the concept of selling the same technology in different boxes of different complexity having different target audiences.
Creamware's products are complete garbage. The technology was impressive on paper 10 years ago when they first released the pulsar but it was always weak, lifeless and thin sounding. All they have been doing since then is rehashing and reselling the same garbage on the same old DSPs (a better version was released by the chip manufacturer years ago but they never updated). I don't understand why this company has survived while companies like Quasimidi died..
ReplyDeleteDONT BOTHER WITH CREAMWARE PRODUCTS, buy Native Instruments and pay a fraction of the price for a better sounding synth.
