"THE SYNTHESIZER CAN BE CONNECTED TO A PERSONAL COMPUTER,VIA A SOCKET AT THE BACK.I HAVE NOT TRIED THE SYNTHESIZER AS I DO NOT HAVE THE MAINS POWER CONNECTION LEAD.THERE ARE A FURTHER 19 WHITE CONNECTOR PINS FOR USE WITH THE GRID PANEL."

  2. the pins are for the mod matrix

but that computer connection is not standard by any means - most likely it has nothing to do with PCs at all, but connects to some kind of propietary device or tape reel computer from the 70s

and yeh i think the mains lead would be a neccessary part

  3. Q: What is the first thing you want to do if you have a broken synth and want to sell it on eBay?

    A: Lose the power cord.

  4. Well these Maplin's were of course DIY synth projects and so depending on the soldering skills of the maker the construction build could vary from as good as a "regular" manufactured synth to non functioning, via anything in between. With this one being minus a mains lead who knows? I've noticed that sometimes on Ebay that the unknown element can make some people bid more......
