Tangerine Dream 1969
via frederic:
"To me, this video is an absolute must ! Why ?
Because for the very first time one can see Thomas Kessler.
Thomas Kessler (a very ahead minded composer) is the man who transform Tangerine Dream from a psycho-rock band into an electronic music band. That fact is not much told. But that fact is the basis for a good understanding of Tangerine Dream's story and also Klaus Schulze's story (remember he was a guitarist/drummer before he met Thomas Kessler)."

ttAhh, don't forget Conrad Schnitzler's role in that transformation as well.
ReplyDeleteI don't forget Conrad Schnitzler (http://perso.orange.fr/frederic.gerchambeau/melotexte6.htm). But he came into Tangerine Dream from a very different artistic ground. He was sculptor before to be a Joseph Beuys's student. So his role, if he really had one in Tangerine Dream, was surely another one.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't forget Lysergic Acid Diethylamide's influence eitehr. Why? Because no one can say he didn't do it!
ReplyDeletegthese guys are WAY overated!
ReplyDeleteWhat makes you say that?
ReplyDeleteI mean, other than the burning need to be a troll?
