  1. Maserati is known for their poor reliability, finickyness and resale value.
    Give me a Toyota instead.

  2. Are you the same anonymous that bases everything? It's getting old.

  3. "Maserati is known for their poor reliability, finickyness and resale value."

Well than it's a fitting description.

  4. Yikes, didn't the zero start at $600 then go up to $700. Now AH is going to sell them for $1000 each?

    That sounds cracked up.

  7. Regarding the Toyota comment, well, I guess you could get a Portasound instead... I've heard nothing but praise for the ZO. I'm on the ZO list and there hasn't been a single issue come up on build quality that I can remember. It's solid folks.

  8. Just because you haven't heard anything on a targeted discussion list doesn't mean there's nobody talking elsewhere:

Seems they don't track 1v/oct very well?

Everyone can put on a fake happy face, but in the end it does nobody any good. Questions should be asked in the appropriate place, instead of hearing about issue via off-list discussions or gossip.

  9. So tracking 1v/Octave is the issue? The Voyager had this as well. I forget why though.

As for, "Questions should be asked in the appropriate place, instead of hearing about issue via off-list discussions or gossip."

This would imply the official ZO list where Cynthia and owners are, would be the most appropriate place.

If you have questions on the ZO, I'd highly recommend you join that list and ask away.

  10. Downpaid in February because I figured I should buy one before the price increase, probably a typical experience.

  11. i don't think people who can afford maseratis worry too much about resale value

There's a difference between mistracking a standard and being on a completely different standard to begin with. The Zer0sc is supposed to track at the 1/v standard like everything else in a modular synth. The Voyager tracking at something different was a dumb idea, but at least it doesn't go out of tune within it's own domain.

Sorry, I will have nothing to do with a list that is moderated by Morbius. Ask a "real" question on one of his lists? Ha! Plus I don't appreciate being banned from the DotCom list simply because I responded to one of his off-topic on-list rants about rap music.

One of my greatest regrets in life? Starting and handing the DotCom list over to Roger. Who chouldn't handle people bugging him for new modules, so he shuts it down and then revives it with an even worse person running it.

  13. I didn't know Morbs moderates the Cyndustries yahoo group too.

And I did read the Dot Com group when you got kicked out, synthbaron. Very unfair since everybody else was ranting about BS at the time too.

  14. Interesting stuff synthbaron. What's your history with the dotcom list? Why did you start it? I missed the whole "Elhardt" debacle of synthesizers.com but I remember people questioning if it was real. When did the list start in relation to all of that?

    ReplyDelete
  15. I started it because there was no dedicated discussion list at the same time. I don't remember if this was before or after I ordered a system.

I don't think Elhardt was involved at all in the AH discussions about DotCom being fake. I think he was just accused of trying to pull another Bahn Sage on us.

Ah, the censorship free, "anything goes" days of my reign. Oh well. The nannies ruin it for everyone.
