huppo studio

Title link takes you to more shots.

via huppo

Note: if you've been following this blog for some time you will realize cats seem to outnumber most other animals when it comes to the pets of synth owners and their synth shots. Not at huppo studio. I see a Beagle. : )

  2. Quite an array of virtual synthesizers. Interesting approach.

  4. What a mess of pure crap! At first glance I thought this was a badly setup sales display in a second hand shop.

  8. Anybody got some links to decent Fizmo samples and/or opinions on that board? Always wondered what those things sounded like.

  9. As for the setup..it works exceptionally well for how I like to make music and I am very comfortable in that environment. I personally can't stand overly neat, cold, rigid, empty spaces. To each his own.

The NASCAR sign just says I like NASCAR. Feel free to make personal judgements about me based on that info alone but you're probably wrong. You're probably into something I think appeals only to morons, too.

there's a pretty random FIZMO demo about 30 minutes long at this URL:

  11. you have to click the title link for the other 20 something pictures of the studio to see the beagle. If you really want to see him he's here too:

there's also more NASCAR stuff on the walls, so if that frightens or offends you then just don't look.

by the way, I took these pictures for a friend who lives out of state and hadn't seen the pile of synths lately. it's not a photo shoot for a synthmagazine, it's just the way my basement studio looks on any given day. I like clutter..it helps me think and inspires me creatively. hyper-organized and spotless environments make me nervous and uncomfortable. they remind me of sterilized operating rooms. if you need that kind of environment to be comfy and creative I can see where my profusion of stuff might look like a pile of crap to you. almost everything in there has some kind of emotional resonance to me, so I like to have it around.

  12. I don't think it looks like a mess, but rather a setup of someone who actually plays and uses their synths.

And as far as using VAs, it again strikes me as someone who is more practically oriented rather than someone who just wants to look cool.

And NASCAR -- are you aware of what most people think of synths? You'd be hard pressed to find an instrument more geeky.
