  1. I didn't know that the GR500 was monophonic. There is a part in Rush's "Hemispheres", the strings that come in durin the slow section at the line "I have memory and awareness...". I always assumed that was the GR500, but now I realize that it could not have been, unless it was multi-tracked. I remember seeing Alex play this live... now what was it that I actually saw? What part, if any, was actually coming out of that beast?

    And a beast it was... that one photo of the guitar doesn't do it justice. It looked like a cross between a guitar and a mixer...
