The noise switch sometimes needs to be activated more than once to engage so the new owner should plan on giving this contact switch a cleaning
JHS made a clone of this, under license maybe as I think was exactly the same, which you can usually get for a lot cheaper. It was called the DS-1 I think. They also had the single vco drum synths like star made, which imho sounded better that the larger drum pad version.
