This is really good news; I had a Linn 9000, which I stupidly sold for an MPC4k. The feel wasn't even close... this is going to be fantastic!

ReplyDeletea dream machine from the eighties and the present and the future . the perfect balance . i just wish they would sort out theor typographic design work . . kind of makes a difference, but nice kraftwerk name ;)
lets hope its the mix of movement/808/909/linn/studio440/mpc60 that should have already happened . . . major respect for dave and roger !
The OSC section is called Wave Source... it's the first left block in the diagram. In there will be your Analog, Digital, and Sampled Waveforms to choose from. Then comes the filter and although it says Lowpass, they really mean 'Two Serial Multimode Filters with Ring and Cross Modulation' (using CEMs of course)

ReplyDeleteIt's a picture of a picture and everyone is getting moist around the gusset !?!?!?!
ReplyDeleteAnd it's a pretty poor picture at that. The perspectives are all out, the buttons have no depth, the LCD appears to be floating, the knobs are all leaning to the left, some don't even have shadows !!!
I reserve judgment until I see one in the flesh.

ReplyDeleteThis thing looks pretty much like the definition of awesomeness... but it seems to be missing sequencer functionality (or at least UI). It's probably there, it's just not X0X style... which I think takes its awesomeness down a few notches...
