God bless the Korg 770!
ReplyDeleteWould'nt all this gear cost a fortune in 1979 (ie proportionally a lot more than now)?
ReplyDeleteWell indeed, both the pictures were taken at my place, during one of the very first "Synth Gathering" (of non professional electronic freaks) named "Electronic Bleue Bird". There is even an 8" movie somewhere, and may be some tapes ???
ReplyDeletei never realized the wasp was so small!

ReplyDeleteThe Hohner International stringer K-4** --the board underneath the Korg 700S for those of you not familiar with this string-machine-- was used extensively by synthesist Mark Shreeve on his early albums.
The K-4 ain't no Solina or Yamaha SS-30 etc. but it still sounds pretty decent I think (albeit a bit on the harsh side perhaps).
Btw, what's the keyboard under the Micromoog and Oberheim DS-2 sequencer? another Hohner Stringer?

Nope ! It aint another "stringer", but belong to the beast above ! The ARP 2600 !!!
ReplyDeleteYes, the sound of the Hohner string machine is a bit harsh, specially compared to the Crumar MultiMan-S, but they made our day !!!
Ahh I see, that makes sense.
