Oscillator FAT?

More pics on Gear Junkies. Sent my way via Marc of Gear Junkies.
I just took a closer look at this image. Is that second knob. OSC1 FAT? : ) This one goes to 11.

  1. Since you brought back the non-Blogger account comments...

The Fat parameter is on the original V-Synth. It does nothing more than make the sound, you guessed it, fatter. It just pumps up the low frequencies.

  2. Now if somebody just had some audio about this thing...

  3. nope, it's only for supersaw patches and addresses the "fatness" of the supersaw algorithm.

new in the new vsynth is: AP synth and voice modeller at the same time, so the new vsynth must have more power. same with upper/lower structure, most other features look very familiar..

changed to UI a bit (knobs moved to below the display-position.. some knobs removed..)

so it is a cool update.. well, some1 let us know what the AP synth is, hope it's not just Acoustic Piano or something ;)

audio: I believe it is the same sound, but in this case layered,.. it's a higher, faster, bigger thing..

  4. Um, moogulator, do you have a V-Synth? Because I do...and the Fat parameter doesn't apply to the super saw.

  5. I'm hoping AP is for analog percussion. I've been wishing Roland would put an analog perc synth on a v-card.
