"Hot For Teacher" on a keyboard

  6. Bravo... all the sequencing of the drums? Exciting demo... even though I am not a fan of rock music but it got me engaged!

  7. For what it is, very nicely played.

    The reaction of an Eddie-worshipping guitarist friend pointed out after he watched: "Why do keyboard players always want to be guitarists?"

  8. Valid point Walkathon.

    I always wanted to be a guitarist. I started out on a Lowrey Organ at 4, but by 12 I regretted the decision upon the advent of all the rokken guitarists out there, waking it up for the bitches. Nothing's cooler to a 12-year-old in 1982 (apparently).

    For glorious wankmanship keyboardists had "Jump" and guitarists had, well, just about everything else. I wasn't into "synth pop" at this formative age, I liked rock.

    So now I'm 37 and still wishes there was some way to be in a heavy duty rock band without "wimping in down" with the stigma of additional keyboards. So once and a while I'll break out a tune like "Hot For Teacher" and enjoy the much-greener grass on the other side.

    Otherwise... ugh. Might as well Jump. Off a bridge...

  9. 1st paragraph: waking = wanking.

    Typos = double farts

  10. "Why do keyboard players always want to be guitarists?"

    Why does Eddie Van Halen want to be a keyboardist?

  11. Nice playing, but how much better would this have sounded with the keyboard audio routed into the camera?

    Too many synth demos are ruined by the rubbish sound of built-in camera microphones.

  13. Not all cameras have external audio inputs.
    Why not take your own great camera with audio ins and make your own video?
    Then we can all see how talented YOU are!
