The KLF - What Time Is Love (Cornfields Version)

YouTube via sizzor87454. No synth pictured in the video, but let's just say this one showcases the Roland TB-303. It's one of my favorite TB-303 basslines from back then. It begins to take over about halfway into the track. Another one of my other favorite 303 tracks at the time was Lords of Acid's "I Sit on Acid" and not the current version floating around. A friend of mine had a version of the track that was all squelchy 303 with no distortion. If anyone knows were to find this earlier version or has even heard it feel free to comment. BTW, for KLF and rave fans, check out this live performance in 1989. Not the best audio but kind of fun to watch, especially with the keyboard hanging off the tower. Make sure to read the discription by clicking "more" when there.

  2. Trip babaluma, I don't think I've ever heard the original. As for Lords of Acid, just do a search on Lords of Acid I Sit On Acid on YouTube. You'll get the full on distorted version, but you will get a feel for the song. Just imagine it clean with the TB-303.

  4. Matrix,

The non-distorted Lords of Acid "I sit on acid" was on the 12" relased by WING records and PolyGram Records. It's the 'mixin up the acid' version (the B-side). I found my copy on eBay a year or so ago.

It's not Office Safe nor is it Kid friendly because it's more explicit than the distorted versions.
Anyway, check your email re: the track.
