"MOOG SYNTHESIZER SERIES IIIp
1 keyboard and ribbon controller
Vintage: 1968
One of the very first synthesizers built by Moog in their Trumansburg, NY factory.
Purchased by Phil Davis in 1969
“In 1969 I was 19 years old. I’d gone to work for a studio musician in Hollywood named Paul Beaver where it was my job to go to the various studios and set up his Moog Synthesizer for sessions. I met some of the very top musicians in LA and it wasn’t long before I had the opportunity to buy my own Moog Synthesizer IIIp. I was part of the band for the stage production of “Tommy”, “Jesus Christ Superstar”, “Sgt. Pepper on Broadway and countless session work.
38 years later, I’m now ready to sell my synthesizer that has been in storage for a long, long time. It’s a classic."

yet another craigslist hoax. :(
ReplyDeleteActually I think this is the real deal. After research I realized this is an extremely rare gem he's got. Good for him for realizing that and actually asking for what it's worth.
ReplyDeleteNot a hoax. Absolutely the real deal, though it hardly matters whether you believe it or not. The owner is my cousin, and every detail is absolutely true. Someone will get a piece of history when they buy this moog.
