"Together with
Paul Maddox, I [Hermann Seib] developed a hardware/software combination to drag the PPG Waveterm into modern times - Waveterm C. I haven't found the time yet to finish it - other projects, like VSTHost, consume too much of my time. Besides, the capabilities of today's average computers have grown to a point where it's relatively easy to simulate a complete synthesizer, with only minute differences, inside the PC. So... that's what I did. "

I am a proud owner of the full version for testing for some years now. I can tell you, that this is the one and only software that is able to reproduce the very special aliasing sound. And due to its nature as running the the original PPG wave code in a kind of emulator inviroment, you can use the original PPG manuals for all sound design parameters and handling. OK, the setting up of the mains and audio connections may be skipped.
ReplyDeleteLoad the demo and you will get the full PPG sound.
