Update via brian in the comments: "It is a UE-100, a tube driven, single channel parametric EQ made by Klein and Hummel in the early 60's (1961 to be exact). I also found a link to it's schematic in German [here]."
That device? Apparently some sort of 4-band parametric EQ, judging from the front panel. I see markings for shelving filters on the left and right sections, and bandpass in the two parts in the middle. Very nice-looking piece of gear, actually, although I can't make out the manufacturer logo. Definitely not EMT/Franz, Neumann, or anything else relatively familiar, but probably German/Austrian/Swiss manufacture given the panel language.
ReplyDeleteI was woundering what it was when i saw it on his page. I also think its a EQ.
ReplyDeleteDo somebody know the brand of the mixing desk?
ReplyDeleteAfter spending WAY TOO MUCH time researching this at work (what are Fridays for anyways), I have found out what that is. It is a UE-100, a tube driven, single channel parametric EQ made by Klein and Hummel in the early 60's (1961 to be exact). I also found a link to it's schematic in German at http://www.gyraf.dk/schematics/KH_UE100_equalizer.pdf
ReplyDeleteI feel MUCH better :)
Awesome. Thanks brian. Post updated.
ReplyDeleteWow... yet more gear, and yet less music... *yawn!*
ReplyDeleteSome people like to use that K&H eq on synth bass. I'm sure Kraftwerk has one that can also launch missiles.
