ReplyDeleteLove these to death.
ReplyDeleteI always find myself drawn back to it ;o)
Couldn't bring myself to sell mine tho'
I have owned 3 of these and this last one will be the one my kid inherits.
ReplyDeletewell if it doesnt brake before then....
Hopefully your kids will learn to spell better.
ReplyDeletespelling is overrrated. Believe me...
ReplyDeletei doubt anyone will read this, but i love mine too. on paper a software sequencer should be able to run circles around a hardware sequencer, but i find i can do everything faster and easier with my rm1x. the built in sounds are really good, i seldom use presets, but i find myself using the rm sounds pretty frequently. the grid edit mode is incredible, it's probably the one thing that a soft sequencer can't do. hammering out 4/4 beats on a rm1x is fun, easy, and highly rewarding. my only real complaint about the unit is that it's quirky about sysex and particularly patch changes. it's usually easier to have it filter out sysex and change patches manually.
