Reminds me of teh Maplin.
ReplyDeleteThe ETI synths are the same as the Maplin versions! ETI supplied the circuit designs and if you lived in the UK you could order all the parts you needed from Maplin. Of course then you'd have to build the synth yourself, so there's quite a bit of variation in build quality and final layout.

As it says in the auction, the last one up on Ebay went for a small fortune, no doubt to a "collector" . Perhaps we shoudl start a competition for the words that best describe synth "collectors" who spend their time hoovering up synths (that artists could use to make music) and put them in poncy rooms with expensive rugs and no doubt spend their time wanking over the size of their collection but certainly not making any interesting music. Shame.....
