  1. No offense Matrix or the guy who posted this picture, but don't you think there are too many filler posts going up here?

  2. Hi!
Maybe i'm not getting something, why is "filler" stuff that bad?, do you receive an email for every post or something similar. Because to me, worst case scenario they're just pretty synth pictures that i scroll through to get to more substantial posts.

  4. I would normally agree that there are at times more "filler" photos of synths than i'd like to see but i really do like this shot. If i could vote, i'd vote for more unique shots of synths than just a photo of a synth with a cat sitting in front/on top/behind it, etc (no offense intended!)

I guess the point i'm trying to make is how about folks follow what this one person did with his juno and come up with your own creative photos? :)

  5. If you don't like what you see, perhaps creating something and sending it in is something you should try.

  6. Yep. Don't dwell, the posts are short for a reason. Take as much time as you like with each. The cat shots are just in good fun. They didn't start on purpose - it just happened that I started noticing of all animals, cats seem to be the most common in synth shots.

  7. Something else I want to add. An interesting way to think of the posts on the site are as appetizers. Every now and then I'll put up an entre, but for the most part they are appetizers. Everything I put up, I put up for a reason. It's not haphazard. The 808 box for example, is just a box on the surface, but... If you think about the impact of the 808 and all of the images you have seen of it, think about the box and what it means. The box is what you would have first seen if you were lucky enough to purchase one when it was new, before anyone else. Look at the box. That was the start of it. The first 808 shipped came in a box like that. The box is what was first seen. It was opened and the rest was history. That's what the 808 box shot meant for me. This shot? The b/w contrast and feel behind it. There are tons of b/w shots out there of various things. A synth? And with a mirror? Not too common.

I put these up because I see certain things in them. I don't usually share what I see, because a good friend of mine once told me, what I see isn't necessarily what others see. Don't infringe - let other see and appreciate what they see on their own.

  8. i really love your post matrix! whether they are seemingly trite or really involved and interesting. i like that i can skip through stuff im not interested in, delve into stuff i am but even more so, find things that i wouldnt have found otherwise. like the variety of photos you pick as well. all in all a great blog! thanks for putting so much time and energy into this!

  9. There's a difference between appetizers and junk food.
Less junk food would make the page load entrees faster.
What can be gained by yet another everyday monosynth photo?

As this blog grows, searching it later will prove maddening and slooow.

To reduce spam, comments for posts older than one week are not displayed until approved, usually same day. Do not insult people. For items for sale, do not ask if it is still available. Check the auction link and search for the item. Auctions are from various sellers and expire over time. Posts remain for the pics and historical purposes. This site is meant to be a daily snapshot of some of what was out there in the world of synths.
