Roland MC-202

No title link, just two shots via this auction. BTW, you can get the manual for free, online, here.

  2. Yeah, but then he'll lie and say you want to sue him.
I've seen this before here with a certain well known person.

  3. My original post, which matrix decided to delete, questioned why he'd post a link to a partial photocopy of a MC202 manual on ebay when he knows full well it's available complete for free from Roland. He deleted my original post and changed the post text to reflect the Roland site. I don't get all the worthless ebay posts though. Rare gear is cool, stupid stuff like incomplete manuals is not.

  5. Um... I like the pictures? It's a matter of personal taste when it comes to blogs. Bloggers put up the things that interest them. These images interested me. I like the starkness of them, the bluish shade and the logo. It's how Roland branded the 202 and the 202 is interesting in it's relation to the 101 and the 303. Documentation always fascinated me.

People that like what they see will come back. My traffic is going up so my guess is people obviously like what they see and for the posts they don't care for, most are mature enough to just skip it. It's like going for Dim Sum or Tapas. The carts roll by with food but you only grab what you want.

As for the comment, there are better ways at communicating things. For example, "Hey matrix, did you know you can get the manual for free here:" followed by a link. I would then update the post and I'd probably thank you. If you look at my posts you will see that I often do that. There is clearly a troll on this site and I will freely pluck the trolls as I see fit.

The only thing you have to realize is that Blogger allows this functionality for a reason. People get booted off of email lists. Forums allow you to ban people, and Blogger allows you to delete comments or restrict access at different levels. For now I'm keeping the anonymous comments active but do know I can change that at any time. I can also delete registered comments at will.

If you don't want your comments deleted learn how to communicate in a way that is helpful without being insulting. That shouldn't be too difficult now should it? If you think it is wrong for me to delete comments, it's a matter of respect. If you do not show respect to others I will not show respect to you.

  8. A dork? Possibly.

    A nerd? Definitely.

    Is there a point here?

To reduce spam, comments for posts older than one week are not displayed until approved, usually same day. Do not insult people. For items for sale, do not ask if it is still available. Check the auction link and search for the item. Auctions are from various sellers and expire over time. Posts remain for the pics and historical purposes. This site is meant to be a daily snapshot of some of what was out there in the world of synths.
