Hmm... I suddenly have the urge to make modular wallpaper.

But does it sound like a... oh, never mind.
ReplyDeleteWhile the woggle bug looks really cool, you could do the same stuff with a pair Plan-B Heisenberg generators + your other oscillators. Or, a pair of Doepfer A-149 Source of uncertainty. The Woggle Bug is basically a very pretty way of dressing up a Buchla 265 Source of Uncertainty - notice that is the 265 and not the 266. Again, not to knock the wiard stuff - because the wiard stuff is definately cool,
ReplyDeleteI have both Plan B Heisen and the Doepfer and they cant do all the Wogle can.

ReplyDeleteIn terms of stepped and continuous fluctuating voltages all 3 are essentially the same circuit and are based on the Buchla Source of uncertainty. The wogglebug has the additional oscillators for the tone outputs, that is why the comment above sez "+ your oscillators"
Again, as a previous wogglebug owner it is undoubtedly a very cool module, but, is not really THAT unique.
