  1. I am almost 100% positive that that picture is from Carbon111's studio when he had the CS60 and Carbon does NOT live in Modesto.

  2. Oh shit. It is. And not only that, but the seller has not been active in over a month and when they were active not only did they NOT sell any items whatsoever, they did NOT buy any synth or music related items either. I smell a scam.

  4. I sent him a PM through VSE to let him know that someone was using his pics.

  6. I don't think it's a scam sale, just a high price. Looks nice but it's double what I'd consider paying

  7. Seller sold a ton of gear including an Arp chroma, one of the first 50, within the last month.Said he was clearing out his studio due to financial/medical concerns. Stuff probably hasn't completed its journey to the new owners. Check completed sales Chroma and you'll seeI think the chroma was posted here as well.. On the sale he used stock photos as well. Two different Chromas. Not the best way to inspire confidence.

  8. I heard back from Carbon111. He confirmed the shot is from his flickr set and he sold it locally, WA state.

  9. Carbon also confirmed to me that this photo is stolen and he did not sell it to this seller. Make of it what you will, but I think if it was a legit auction he would be able to post an actual photo instead of stealing Carbons old photos. Its a scam 100% IMO.

  10. "Seller sold a ton of gear including an Arp chroma, one of the first 50, within the last month."

How come he does not have any feedback at all as a seller then?

I could say that I sold 30 moog modulars in the last month but if I can't back it up with feedback it means nothing.

  11. Looks like he put up a different photo now.

  12. The seller sold a lot of stuff within the last 2 weeks.Feedback wouldn't have been left yet.He was liquidating his studio for emergency reasons.
Whether or not this is all true I don't know. I was tracking the Chroma sale, noticed his other listings as well as an error w/ the photos he used so I emailed him. Corresponded 2-3 times about the Chroma. Seemed legit but who knows. If anyones really interested in the CS60, even at that price, contact the seller, ask for photo's of the actual items being sold etc. With Ebay it's always Caveat Emptor...

  13. If this seller is so legit, why does he keep stealing other peoples photos? It is not that hard to snap a picture of it. I also feel this guy is a scammer.

  14. I asked him for some more photos, to which he replied "i can't because the cs60 is already packed". hmmmm.

To reduce spam, comments for posts older than one week are not displayed until approved, usually same day. Do not insult people. For items for sale, do not ask if it is still available. Check the auction link and search for the item. Auctions are from various sellers and expire over time. Posts remain for the pics and historical purposes. This site is meant to be a daily snapshot of some of what was out there in the world of synths.
