Is this the new Sound Canvas?
ReplyDeleteyes.
ReplyDeleteNot, this is more than sound canvas ...
ReplyDeleteI HATE THIS THING!!! I purchased the Sonic to replace an aging MC-80. Its a toy compared to the MC-80. No "on the fly control over anything", everything needs to be set in Cakewalk. Not even the ability to cue and play the next song without an execute step in between. Worst feature, it loads tunes from a USB memory drive which of course could hold hundreds of tunes BUT... the Sonic can ONLY manage a meager 200 tunes, design flaw?? This is not a viable piece of equipment for pro level live performance.
ReplyDeleteSUCK - that is the word that best describes the user interface on the Sonic Cell. Roland has never been very good with user interfaces on any of their equipment and this piece of shit is not different. I thought I could use it as a Live Backing Track player (as advertised) but to try to get it to work on the fly intuitively is like driving a truck thru a needle. DONT BUY THIS!! Even though I would like to sell mine.
