ReplyDeletejust curious, how is this circuit bending? i know that term gets thrown around a lot these days, but its actually very specifically and narrowly defined by the man who coined the term. it dosent include building your own circuits, no matter how noisy or random the result.

it could be considered bending if he took those existing designs, then built them, then bent them further but that could just be considered modification couldn't it.

ReplyDeleteWell I know what does Circuit Bending mean, and I have modified a couple of toy keyboards too.
ReplyDeleteBut after I built this gear, I've started using the same technique on my own circuits or circuits I've built from found schematics.
I've put touch contacts over freq and filter pots, I've added light sensor and vactrol over circuit not born with them.
Please pass me the circuit bend definition, maybe not in a no strong meaning...
