Turtle Island ( Mike Oldfield ) - TR3S LUNAS cover

YouTube via YammyMotif.

"All instruments played in real time, except drums, which are sequenced. Sax sound comes from breath controller located in my mouth, providing an incredible real sax sound." Sax comes in 1:42 into it.

via the comments of this post: "I've just created a video with BC3A controller."

  2. Yanni wouldn't be worried, he throws a mean punch. Ask his wife. :)

  3. Once again Yeti is jealous. Maybe we can hear some of those lame ambient drones again? I would love to see a video of our friend Yeti playing his v-synth with one finger.

  5. Awakened Yeti, Anonymous #1, we all need to just chill. Music isn't about fighting, it's about unity.

  6. Never heard the "incredible real sax sound", bit I did hear a typical plasticy sampled sax.

  7. Yeti needs a hug. He obviously didnt get enough while mommy was busy telling him that he was her precious little angel who would grow up to be prime minister one day. Narcissism run amok!

  8. It really takes a tremendous deficiency of character for someone who gets off on bad mouthing the efforts of others, anonymously or otherwise, to call someone else a pathetic "peice"[sic] of shit when their own lack of talent is brought into question. Talk about a lack of perspective. I agree with the diagnosis of narcissism.

  9. Hi! What's up?
I just wanted you to hear the sax sound! I think it sounds great. Of course, it could be sound more realistic, but I'm still learning.

This is not a battle about who makes the best music with his/her machine! Please...

  10. I don't know.. I believe I've heard more living winds played with virtual analogs and modwheel. Ofcourse breath-controller saves one hand, but the result here wasn't anything special, and it sounds plastic to me.. YMMV.

  11. I think it's about the inflection you get with a breath controller vs. just using keys. Forget the patch. I personally appreciate the video because you get to see how a breath controller is used. Point me to another video demonstrating that and it'll go up.

  12. BTW, as for the patch, I wonder if it's a PCM sample or one from the PLG150-VL board. The VL is physical modeling. The Yamaha VL1 is known to be the best when it comes to physical modeling of wind instruments. It has a better reputation than the Korg modeling used in the Prophecy and Z1. The VLs including the PLG150-VL are based on that technology.

  13. Well. The sax sound does not come from PLG150-VL card. It comes from a sampled voice. Anyway, I will try to perform another song with PLG150-VL sax sound.
