  5. very good interview...i like that she has opinions and a sense of humor...i also like that she talks about music and life intertwined...many of the comments she makes about life pertain to music and vice-versa. now if only iTunes had her collection for sale...

  7. I really like the Momus song about Wendy Carlos.

I sing it often. Great song. Wendy sued him.

    Momus is quite great.

  16. Come on, its not like she's bob moog.. sure she was influential but not a founding father like moog was..

i saw a list of her work, and honestly. i'm not a huge fan. but yeah, she is talented..

Yeah, if Wendy Carlos had not blown up that meteor headed for earth with those oil drillers in space... we would all be dead!

  19. wait... wasn't that walter who stopped the alien offensive?

  20. what a cavalcade of trollitude.

FYI Bob Moog probably couldn't have hit it as big as he did (and thus had all the influence he's had) if it wasn't for Carlos putting "Switched-On Bach" into the hands and minds of millions- well, lots of people. It is all tied together.

  21. i'd hit it

  22. this place feels like home....ahh, back at TGS

    ReplyDelete
  23. No, TGS is low traffic, some nitwit, some genius.
Here it's high traffic, high nitwit, no genius.

  24. Based on some photos of cats on her (old?) Web site, I will venture that Wendy is very pro-Synthcats.

I'm going to keep listening to her 'Secrets of Synthesis' CD until I understand it. :-)
