  1. I didn't realise Emo Philips was an RS7000 fan !! LOL ;o)

  2. 17 minutes in before we get to hear any sound and this then happens when the camera is zoomed in on an green menu screen of which you can see absolutely nothing.

Fair play to him for doing it but I hope the next episode is a bit less hardcore nerdism. Reading the spec sheet is not a demo.

  3. First off, thanks Niall from the music-bar@ampfea.org mailing list for forwarding my video links to this site. I had no idea. I've read articles from this site before, but never explored it that much. That would explain why my video(s) got so many hits today.

Regarding the Emo Philips comment, never heard of him before (just found out via Wikipedia he's a comedian), but I guess my voice can sound like a monotone at times like some Emo bands hehe.

Anonymous: you got me there, alot of it was spouting information from the spec sheet for people who may not have heard of the RS7000 or it's capabilities/features. The first episode (which I had to split into 2 parts to get it to fit YouTube's length guidelines) was designed to be a VERY BASIC introduction to the RS7000: what it is, what it can do, etc. For future episodes in the series I plan on going into greater detail about each individual mode (Pattern/Style, Pattern Chain, Song, Utility) and other features of the RS7000 like the effects banks, scene/mute memories, and other advanced tips 'n' tricks.

Sorry if it seemed boring for people familiar with the RS7000 or a little too dry. Future episodes should be more hands on with audio/visual examples along with commentary/explanations.

Regarding the grainy close-up screen: I'm currently encoding a higher bitrate version of the video and plan on uploading that ASAP. Hopefully that will make the screen a little more easy to see (i.e. somewhat readable). Future episodes I'll have to figure out a better recording method (more light perhaps) to record the display when zoomed in close. Thanks everyone for your comments.

  4. Dude,

Props to you for doing this. My "Emo Philips" comment was just a bit of fun as you REALLY do sound like the guy. Do a search on YouTube and you'll (hopefully) see what I mean :o)

    No disrespect inteded :o)

Being an RM1x owner, this interested me as an RS7000 would be a nice upgrade, but I don't think I'd use it enough to warrant the outlay. I have MPC's and other gear that I would probably use more.

I look forward to further episodes :o)

  5. I like the fact that it takes mind boggling 20 minutes for him to tell that it is a perfectly normal sampler and play some demos.
